A while back we started this series of posts on overcoming the fear of failure and instead concentrating on your success. If you’ll recall, there were three factors: setting an achievable goal; eliminating distractions; and finally - in this post - involving a partner or coach.

I think one of the biggest challenges we face in achieving our goals is having a support system - friends, coworkers, family, or coaches - to encourage and guide you, particularly when the going gets tough. So many times, people fail because there wasn’t anyone there to lend a helping hand at a critical time. Even something as simple as, “Hey, you can do it - I believe in you!” can make a huge difference!

But how many times have you stumbled, and there hasn’t been anyone there to encourage you when you needed it most? Maybe you needed some advice, but didn’t know who to ask?

Those - among other reasons - are why you need someone there to support you in achieving your fitness and other goals. So line up a friend or a family member to be your cheering section and support system. Or feel free to contact Jan or myself: that’s why we’re here - to help you succeed!
